Checks grammar

Present a Word of the Day related to the theme and tracks the improper use of the English language grammar by the speakers and evaluators.

Timer

Tracks speech time

Times each leader, speaker and evaluator during the meeting. Explain the card-based system, and how speakers can use it to judge/adjust their own timing. Waves green card for minimum time, yellow card for median time, and red card for maximum time. Records each member's time, and notes who was under, over and within the time limit.

Ah-Counter

Tracks filler words

The Ah-Counter tracks the filler words like Ah, Umm, So, You-know etc. These words or sounds rob the speech of its bigger impact. Hence the Ah-counter tracks these instances for each speaker and provides a report in the evaluation session in the end.

General Evaluator

Evaluates overall meeting

Evaluate the meeting: Provide feedback to everyone EXCEPT Project Speakers, Topics master and Table Topics Speaker. This includes Toastmaster, Timer, Gramarian, Public Speaking Tip, and Speech Evaluators.

Speech Evaluator

Evaluates the speech

The evaluator provides constructive feedback to the assigned speaker during the evaluation session. The evaluation is insightful and helps the speaker understand his/her areas of improvement. A typical evaluation is a sandwich of "Things liked by the evaluator from the speech", "Things to improve upon", and "Things the speaker incorporate to challenge himself the next time".

Speaker

Gives the speech 

A speaker is the designated Toastmaster who is taking on their project speech during the meeting. The type of speech is guided by a speaker-chosen Pathways curriculum. Typical speeches are 5-7 minutes long and the speaker has the creative freedom to choose any topic of their liking.

Toastmaster of the day

Hosts the meeting

TMOD hosts/emcees the meeting. The meeting is started by the TMOD and typically follows on the theme decided for the week. The TMOD calls upon various role players at different points of time in the meeting and keeps the flow of the events organized with their additional  observational inputs in between each session/speech.
